I only beat him by sixty-three points

What do I have to say in my very first post of 2009? That I've set and already broken 10 resolutions? That I should have posted two days ago? Something more meaningful? No.

My kid bowled a 101 on the Wii last night! Not only that, but I happened to be taping him. It was so cute watching him bowl that I started taping it, but when he started getting spares I knew I had to keep going. Casey and I were laughing and whooping it up, it was too funny. I believe by the end of the game I had just one minute left on the tape, and not much more on the battery power.

We called my parents, avid Wii bowlers that they are, right afterward to tell them. They loved it, but of course wanted to see the video. So I set to work this morning with some quick editing and uploaded it to YouTube. And let me tell you, there are a lot of people out there taping their two-year-olds bowling on the Wii. I didn't check to see if any of them had beaten my son, but it didn't matter. He's the one I'll be watching.

Click here to see the video.

So cute! You really have an accent when you say "Miiiles". I love how he was putting one arm behind his back. You can whip out this video when he is a pro bowler some day!

Yeah, I think I've noticed that I have picked up the way I say his name, I guess because everyone else here says it that way. I still don't sound like a total Southerner though (not that there's anything wrong with that!) The arm thing was one of my favorite parts, that and him giving me the remote for my turn. Thanks Shell! =)

Those are the same things I noticed! That and I think Eli has that same shirt! Is there a t-rex on it? That is so cute. It's amazing how quickly kids pick up on things. We played Uno with the kids tonight and Elena was doing pretty good even though the box says 7+. Of course we all could see everyone else's cards and help, but it's fun to watch their faces when they play! It's good to see and hear you all!

Yup, that's the shirt! He stops at one point in the video, looks at his shirt and says, "Dinosaur, Dad!" I'm impressed with Elena's Uno skills! That must be fun. Miss you guys!!
