Twenty and Six

I've always been fascinated with numbers. Not math so much (loved algebra, hated geometry), but numbers. Dates. Times. That sort of thing. So of course I counted the staples that were left in my stomach, to be removed on Wednesday afternoon.

26 staples. I thought I would find more significance, but I haven't...yet. Last August, I had 33 sutures removed from the same area. I was just three months away from turning 33 years old, so I thought that was pretty cool.

But 26...hmm...not a lot hits me there. I was 26 years old when Casey and I got married. That's all I've found so far. Usually, if it doesn't come to me right away, I figure there's not much in it. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I put a lot of stock into the meaning of these numbers. I just like to look at numbers in all different ways. And really, whether or not I try, numbers just come to me -- come into my mind on a daily basis. It can be a fascinating thing, but also somewhat annoying in its way.

Wow, I am the same way with numbers. Remind me to explain my wedding date to you. :)

26 could also be related to a marathon. As in a long journey, as in YOUR long journey to reap the prize.

Hope you are feeling well!

Ooh, ding-ding-ding! And the winner is...Elisa! Seriously, I love the marathon connection...thank you so much for mentioning that! Please do share anytime about your wedding date number stuff. =)

Also, Title 26 of the U.S. Code is the Internal Revenue Code. You'll get a tax break when you have another baby, which will be the result of this surgery. :)

OK, maybe it's a stretch.

Okay, I am going to have to call a tie between Sally-Anne and Elisa. You guys are way too clever! I never would have thought of this stuff, but I love it that other people are thinking of it and sharing it with me, it's so much fun! See how I am with numbers now? =)

Here is the wedding number story in as short a story as I can make it.

Lewis and I were married on April 12, 2008.

There are 4 years between our ages, and April is the 4th month of the year.

I was born on the 12th of my bday month, and so was Lewis. (different bday months, though!)

He as born in '72 and I was born in'76...2 plus 6 equals 8, as in 2008.

So you get 4-12-08...and it just happened to be on a Saturday!

See, I'm a weirdo...but looks like I have good company! ;)

That is a cool numbers story! My parents had something slightly similar:

Mom was born in 1937 and dad in 1940. I was born in 1977. 37+40 = 77. And my mom was 40 and my dad was 37 when I was born. Again, 40+37 = 77.

I guess it's not THAT unusual, but I always liked it.

Also, my birthday is 10-29 and my fiance was born at 10:29 in the morning.

I love numbers!

Elisa and S-A ~ You two are awesome! I love all the number stuff, so many coincidences. Now I am feeling the need to come up with my own special number story...hmm...must think some more.
